Burn Notice

New computer, new keyboard, new jeans, new music, new me... not. I've been going through a turnover for the past couple of months. Throwing away a bunch of stuff. Getting stuff. Materialistic fool that I am. Seeing my past up in flames in the burn pile made me realize what's important, and sorry, but it's not my eight grade english notebook. Probably the ability to speak english is pretty useful, though. And yes, The Red Wheelbarrow is a great poem.

So I got some new stuff to create music with, and blog posts. Now I'm just trying to infuse this music with something that can't burn. I'd be cool if it could burn things, though. Imagine playing a song and all of a sudden an entire field just explodes, it can't take the combustion! I guess that happens at concerts anyway. I'll find out soon enough. Burn Notice.

That's what's been happening lately. Finding the invisible things that somehow punch you harder than a fist holding a roll of quarters is a challenge, but worth it. It's a noble quest into that dark space that suddenly becomes so bright it melts your Ray Bans. It's a good burn.

Anyway, I'm trying to keep it real here in EGF.

The Red Wheelbarrow is one of my favorites. Good times back in Junior English with Mrs. Maney! Keep it real, friend. Kelli

Speaking of burning, the "stuff" that you got rid of, if it means anything to you, will be burned in your brain. You'll hold on to what you want to. Keep the essentials. Eliminate most of the rest. Know what's important - to you.
