And it's been awhile... and worth every minute, from this end at least :) I've quickly realized that writing songs is probably my favorite thing to do short of... hmm.. that's a tough one. If I learned one thing during my brief stint as a poet (I had one good poem and 17 awful ones) it's that imagery is key. Not just visual imagery, but an imagery that can engage all the senses in different ways is what I'm alluding to.

Ahem! YESS! I could TOTALLY picture your words! I had a scene going and then all of a sudden Alice in Wonderland popped up! What a surprise!

Blue Robbin's Egg. Waterless Clouds. Chorus of Leaves. Tennis Shoes with Dresses. Alice in Wonderland. Lightning. Scars. Rain. Bled Dry. Apples (lots of apples). Flowers.
