it's a paradox. do i write a song about the fact that i can't process anything or do i wait to process something and then write a song about it? or do both? or neither, and let the emotions pass as art that never was.

"The demons of my heart are crowding the door to my mind". That's heavy stuff. You'll find balance to your heart and mind. You just need to be patient. You can not force art. Not if it's great art. Not if it's true art. Not if it's your art. It will come when it comes to you. Don't push it.

i think you should definitely do both...as you have already created an art all of its own with your vivid imagery. plus, many beautiful things have come out of sheer emotion...as you have discovered with me in my writing. A paradox is a delightful thing, and too often under appreciated. Maybe your song which you intend to write will be force enough to bust open that door in your mind and squish those silly demons. And in the mean time, use them to your advantage in your writing.
So nick, the question is:...when do i actually get to hear your music?
